STANDARD GUIDELINES FOR SERVICE

CHIROPRACTOR & MASSAGE FACILITIES


Our goal is to serve you to your complete satisfaction. Our guidelines are designed to enable us to achieve this goal. We will always be available to work out any specific cleaning guidelines, which would be related to your particular business requests.

OSHA guidelines for custodial and housekeeping operations are followed.

MSDS Sheets are maintained at each facility.

Rubber gloves are worn at all times while performing cleaning services.

ENTRANCE AND WAITING AREAS:

ENTRANCE GLASS: Glass entry doors and receptionist partitions will be cleaned each service on both sides to remove smudges and fingerprints.

FURNITURE: Reception desk, tabletops, and counters will be polished or damp wiped each service with approved disinfectant, upholstered furniture will be vacuumed weekly. Magazines will be stacked or arranged in an orderly manner.

TRASH DISPOSAL: Trash containers will be emptied each service and trash taken to designated areas. Plastic lines from you stock will be installed as needed. Trash containers will be cleaned when needed, excessive washing excepted.

FLOORS: Floors will be damp mopped or vacuumed each service. Hard surfaces will be spray buffed monthly.

BLINDS: Blinds will be dusted weekly. (For washing see list of specialized services.)

STAIRWAYS: Stairwells will be swept or vacuumed nightly, wet mopped as needed.

OFFICE AREAS

DUSTING: Desks, tables, credenza’s, etc. will be dusted each service, basis polished weekly. Dusting of blinds, windowsills, door jams, railings, etc. will be completed weekly.

VACUUMING: Vacuuming to be completed each service. Detail vacuuming to be done weekly.

INTERIOR GLASS: Interior glass will be spot cleaned nightly, thoroughly cleaned monthly.

TELEPHONES: Telephones will be cleaned and sanitized on a weekly basis.

TRASH DISPOSAL: Trash containers will be emptied each service and trash taken to designated areas. Exterior of metal containers will be spot cleaned each service. Plastic liners will be installed from your stock.

RESTROOMS

FIXTURES: Toilet bowls, toilet seats, urinals and sinks will be cleaned and sanitized each service. Bright metal will be cleaned and polished each service.

TRASH CONTAINERS: Trash containers will be emptied each service and trash taken to a designated area. Exterior of containers will be spot cleaned each service. Plastic liners will be installed from your stock.

GLASS: Glass and mirrors will be cleaned and polished each service.

WALLS: Splash marks will be removed from walls around sinks and dispensers each service. Ceramic walls will be spot cleaned each service. Partition walls and doors will be spot cleaned each service, wiped down and sanitized monthly.

DISPENSERS: Dispensers will be cleaned and polished each service and supplies installed from your stock.

FLOORS: Floors will be swept, damp mopped and sanitized each service.

LUNCHROOM, KITCHEN AND COFFEE AREAS

FURNITURE: Tables and counter tops will be damp wiped each service. Chairs will be spot cleaned each service.

CABINETS & METAL WORK: Cabinet exteriors will be spot cleaned each service and thoroughly cleaned weekly. Bright metal will be cleaned and polished each service.

VENDING MACHINES: Machines will be spot cleaned each service and damp wiped weekly if not included in vendor’s contract.

TRASH CONTAINERS: Trash containers will be emptied each service and trash taken to a designated area. Exterior of containers will be spot cleaned each service. Plastic liners will be installed from your stock.

FLOORS: Floors will be vacuumed or swept and damp mopped each service.

MICROWAVE OVENS: Microwave ovens will be damp wiped and cleaned inside and out as needed.

EXAMINATION ROOMS

DUSTING: Wood, metal, glass, vinyl, or plastic laminated surfaces will be wiped clean of dust, dirt and smudges nightly and polished as needed. This includes cabinet doors, vinyl chairs, railing, exposed tops of files, shelves, sills, ledges and all other low (70″ high) items. High dusting, which includes air vents, light fixtures, etc. will be dusted or cleaned quarterly.

EQUIPMENT: All sinks will be scoured with non-abrasive liquid. Counter tops, waste containers, kick buckets, exam tables, and foot stools will be wet-wiped with an appropriate disinfectant solution and allowed to air dry.

FLOORS: Using disinfectant solution, a damp mop of exam room floors will be done nightly.

TRASH DISPOSAL: All waste containers will be emptied and transported to collection areas. Care will be exercised in nothing items in containers that are obviously not trash and to only throw away bundles or cans designated trash.  Key People will not handle any trash in “red” bags.  Appropriate trash liners will be replaced in receptacles.

RECYCLING: Recycling can be customized to fit individual needs.

PROCEDURE ROOMS

  1. Wet wipe exterior of wastebaskets, including lids.
  2. Wood, metal, glass, vinyl, or plastic laminated surfaces to be wiped clean of dust, dirt and smudges and polished as needed. This included vinyl chairs, railing, exposed tops of files, shelves, sills, ledges, and all other low items.
  3. Floors will be completely wet-mopped with clean disinfectant solution. Furniture will be moved if possible to accomplish this task.
  4. Spot clean partition walls and all glass. Remove spillage, fingerprints and smudges.
  5. Clean all sinks and counters around sinks with disinfectant solution. Lift up small items around sinks, such as soap dispensers, damp wipe beneath and behind, and replace in an orderly fashion.
  6. Dust all picture frames, chart boxes, venetian blinds, glass covers or pictures and similar hanging items.
  7. Dust chair legs and base of all furniture, door frames, etc.
  8. High dusting, i.e. door sash, tops of partitions, shelving, ledges, ceiling lights, etc.  will be done bi-monthly.
  9. Wash wastebaskets, including lids, with disinfectant solution will be done monthly.
  10. Dust all air supply and air exhaust grills and light fixtures will be done monthly.
