How to Keep Your Office Sanitized

November 2, 2022 by thek3yp3ople Leave a Comment

Many people spend more hours at the office than they do at their home. They are at their office five days a week for at least eight hours, sometimes more. Spending this much time at a specific location means that it is important to keep it clean, organized, and sanitized. Let’s talk about some ways to keep your office properly sanitized.

How to keep your office sanitized

Before you can clean anything, you need to make sure you have the tools necessary to do it. To make sure your space is properly sanitized, you need to invest in EPA-registered disinfectants because these are the ones that can ensure you are properly killing the germs living on your office surfaces.

Next, keeping your office sanitized is less about what gets sanitized and more about creating the habit of sanitization. It is easy to decide what needs to be sanitized and how often it needs to be done. However, it can be difficult to stick to a routine. Things like wiping down doorknobs and light switches should be done daily, but they’re easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of a busy office.

Finally, it is important to know what your high-touch surfaces are. The Center for Disease Control has defined high-touch surfaces as tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, and more. While you may not touch all of these things frequently, they are often encountered by a multitude of people. For this reason, it is imperative to sanitize these things often.

Keeping your office properly sanitized can be daunting, especially if you aren’t used to it. The COVID-19 pandemic changed how we view sanitization, and for good reason. If you are interested in having your office professionally cleaned, you can speak with the professionals at Key People, so they can hook you up with an experienced contractor to work their magic on your office space.
